3rd ANNUAL FUNDRAISING GALA FOR KIDS IN UKRAINE
On Friday, March 15th, Stream of Hopes Aid for Ukraine held its THIRD annual fundraising gala for kids in Ukraine. The evening was once again filled with amazing entertainment, with great food, with delicious drinks provided by LB Distillers, awesome raffle and silent auction prizes and most of all amazing and giving people, friends of Stream of Hopes, supporters of our organization and individuals who made the evening the most successful one to date.
We had performances by Vesnianka Academy of Ukrainian Dance. Younger group performed earlier in the evening, while the older group performed to close off the night. We had Fashion Show by UKIEOLOGY Fashion and Décor - a Ukrainian online business based in Saskatoon. Then Kateryna Tokarska performed a couple of songs with her sister accompanying her on guitar. They were joined by their youngest brother for a third song as a family. The night was topped off by an intimate performance by Theresa Sokyrka. She wowed the audience with her charming voice and songs.
In all, the evening raised over $5,000 dollars which went towards sponsoring kids to go to summer camp Dreams of Bukovyna, which we have been supporting now for three years. This was a great start to our campaign, where the money was utilized to sponsor the first group of kids to this camp.
